Beomeosa Temple — A Mountain Temple That Calms the Pace

Roy's DadSeptember 21, 2025
A temple held by the mountain. Staying longer settles the mind.
Main
- The main courtyard is beautiful with light-and-shadow contrast—great for photos.
- Don’t stop at the halls; add a 15–30 minute forest stroll nearby.
- Distinct seasonal moods make repeat visits worthwhile.
A Step: Perspective
The Sound of Chimes as the City Fades. (Look at the small metal bell hanging from the edge of the Daeungjeon roof. Its beautiful sound will ring out soon.)
Walking through the dense forest path toward Beomeosa, you can feel the bustling noise of Busan gradually receding.
It’s not just the temple's age; the fact that it is nestled so deep within the mountain is what makes Beomeosa feel truly Korean.
There is no need for many words here. Simply touching a pillar of the Main Hall—which has stood silently for centuries—is enough to feel a profound sense of awe.
